If a thief is caught breaking in at night and is struck a fatal blow, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed;
Exodus 22:2

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.
Ezekiel 33:6

He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.
Luke 22:36

Folks, now more than ever is the time for our citizens to be prepared to serve as the first line of defense, not only for them but for their families!
Brevard County Sheriff Ivey

Special Guest:
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey

Self Defense Through Mental Preparedness In Today’s Society

Headshot of Sheriff Ivey
Sheriff Ivey will discuss the 4 A’s of Survival, Active Shooters, Protecting our 2nd Amendment, Illegal Immigration, how crime will rise to the level a community will tolerate, and how we have zero tolerance for crime in Brevard County.
Fasten your seatbelt and get ready for a no-nonsense talk about being tough on crime and even tougher on criminals.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey has been a Law Enforcement Officer for almost four decades. He graduated from the FBI National Academy 237th and has a Bachelor’s degree in management and supervision from Daytona State College.

Sheriff Ivey is serving his third term as Sheriff of Brevard County, and before being elected in 2012, he served the citizens of the State of Florida as the Resident Agent-in-Charge for the FL Dept. of Law Enforcement for almost 20 years.

In that state capacity, Sheriff Ivey developed numerous programs that were recognized at the national and state level for their innovation and excellence in criminal investigations. Programs such as the “Child Abduction Response Team” and “Law Enforcement Getting Identity Thieves” still stand today as national models in the investigation of child abductions and identity theft cases.

Sheriff Ivey has been recognized twice during his career by the International Association of Chiefs of Police for his incredible innovation and partnership approach to fighting crime.

Sheriff Ivey has testified before the United States Congress on Immigration, Opioids, and Identity Theft. Under his direction, the Crime Rate in Brevard County has dropped almost 50% in the past nine years, and the Brevard County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit has been recognized twice as the Crime Prevention Unit of the Year for the State of Florida. Sheriff Ivey has also been recognized twice as the “President's Award for Crime Prevention and Awareness” recipient by the Florida Crime Prevention Association and was recently honored to receive the NRA “National Defender of Freedom Award.”

Sheriff Ivey firmly believes that “it takes a community to protect a community” and that crime prevention and education are vital to reducing our crime rate and protecting our citizens.
